See "Morning Quiet, Gualala River" (above), currently showing with other new work by Lori Fujimoto in the 22nd Annual Alameda Women Artists Exhibition and Silent Auction at the Alameda Museum, 2325 Alameda Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501.

I see painting as a way for me to remember and reveal the attachment I have to a particular place, a turn of light, the play of colors, or simply the emotion I felt when I first experienced that place. The act of painting is evocative and intimate to me, and through painting I seek to capture the intrinsic characteristics of my experiences. My artwork becomes even more special to me when a piece resonates with another, and a unique and personal communication is made.
